Burt Bucher Wins People's Choice Grand Champion Car at Shermerfest
Attendees at the 10th annual classic car show at Shermerfest voted Burt Bucher's 1929 Packard Phaeton best in show. Bucher, a 1966 GBN grad and Northbrook native, drove the burgundy Packard with red and black trim 30 miles south from his home in Wadsworth, Ill.
"It's reliable," Bucher said. "It runs like a top."
Bucher said this was his second year bringing a car to Shermerfest.
"I like the venue, underneath the trees," he added.
