Patch Pets: Dimond, Perl and Reed

Each week, Patch Pets features a dog and cat available for adoption from Heartland Animal Shelter.

Dimond & Perl

This charming duo has been adopted.

Cat Adoption Information - Heartland's kitten adoption fee is $200 for a pair of kittens and includes up-to-date vaccinations, deworming, microchip, neuter/spay, a FIV/FeLuek test and a free vet exam within two weeks of adoption. Adoption fees for kittens less than five-months-old are slightly higher.

Reed

Reed’s owner was very heartbroken to give up this one-year-old boy after allergies developed in the household. He’s a one-year-old Lab/Spaniel mix with the most amazing eyes. And, when we say that this dog is a good boy, we actually have the papers to prove it. Reed attended a month long puppy training boot camp and is very well behaved. He also has had agility training and obedience classes at the K9 University in Chicago where he had his puppy training. Reed is energetic, playful, and very sweet and really loves to cuddle after playtime.

Dog Adoption Information – Heartland’s adoption fee is $225 per dog and includes neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworming and heartworm test. Puppy adoption fees are slightly higher.

Heartland Animal Shelter, at 2975 Milwaukee Ave. in Northbrook, is open from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 12-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. More animals available for adoption can be found at www.heartlandanimalshelter.net; the shelter also has opportunities for volunteers in many different capacities.
