6 Vehicular Burglaries in 1 Night, 1 Neighborhood

Northbrook Police say six people reported items stolen from their car, or cars being searched, on Sept. 23 near the 900 block of Cedar Ln.

 

The following items were part of a report distributed by the Northbrook Police Department

On Sept. 23 at about 6:15 a.m., police say they responded to a report of a vehicle parked on the 800 block of Cedar Ln. with its door ajar. Investigation determined it was searched by an unknown person.

A few minutes later and one block up, police say they found a car parked on the 900 block of Cedar with items lying nearby. Investigation determined unknown subject(s) went through the vehicle and a cell phone worth about $100 was removed.

At 6:26, another neighbor reported a stack of credits missing and her car door ajar, according to police.

Around the corner, on the 2200 block of Crabtree Ln., two cars parked in a driveway had doors open, police say. A jacket and sunglasses, together worth about $250, were reported stolen. 

Police say they also found items lying along the 1000 block of Briarwood Ln. which were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the block.

At 10:31, police say someone from the 2200 block of Chestnut St. drove his car to the police station after discovering someone had been through it though nothing appeared taken.
