Barnaby's Listed As One of 36 Suburban Restaurants 'Worth Leaving Chicago For'
The Chicago Reader just came out with a list of the best 36 restaurants in the surburbs. Barnaby's was one of several in the north suburbs, and the only one in Northbrook.
Apparently, the mouthwatering slices of pizza and beloved "bird seed" cornmeal crust at Barnaby's are drawing devotees all the way from the city.
This week, the Chicago Reader published a list of 36 top restaurants in the suburbs, "the essential destinations that make it worth leaving the safety and comfort of the Big City and venturing into the wilds of suburbia."
The Reader's critic highlighted the "cornmeal-dusted, paper-thin crusts," "tangy sauce," and ground sausage flavored with fennel as a the perfect topping.

While Barnaby's was the only restaurant in Northbrook to make the list, nearby favorites included Korean restaurants Chun Ju and Cho Jung in Glenview, the Japanese restaurant Tori Shin in Mount Prospect and Royal Malabar Catering, also in Glenview, which serves Keralite carryout.
Do you think the Reader got it right? Would you add any suburban restaurants to the list?
