Blotter: 3 DUIs; Personal Trainer Involved In Credit Card Fraud

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Adam Rafalo, 45, of Glenview, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and improperly parking in the roadway at Sanders Road and Walters Avenue Tuesday, Dec. 27, reported.

Mark R. Dresner, 40, of Chicago, was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested at Dundee Road and Skokie Boulevard Wednesday, Dec. 28, according to police. He was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage.

Oleksandr Kramer, 23, of Northbrook, was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested at Willow and Landwehr roads Saturday, Dec. 30, according to police. He was charged with driving under the influence, driving with expired registration and speeding.

Nicholas Martinez, 33, of Highland Park, was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested at Waukegan Road and Portsmouth Court Thursday, Dec. 29, according to police. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding.

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Sarah Bammesberger, 29, of Northbrook, was arrested Tuesday, Dec. 27, in the 4100 block of Picardy Lane, after she allegedly violated an order of protection, police reported.

PERSONAL TRAINER INVOLVED IN CREDIT CARD FRAUD

A resident of the 2600 block of Shermer Road reported that a personal trainer who was arrested for fraudulently charging her Winnetka clients had also made an unauthorized charge of $200 on her credit card, according to police.

RETAIL THEFT AT THE APPLE STORE

A 16-year-old from Glencoe was issued a local ordinance ticket after he was seen taking a pair of headphones from the Apple store without paying for them Monday, Dec. 26, police reported.

CAR BURGLARIES ON LAKE COOK AND SKOKIE

Someone broke the passenger side window and stole a purse from a car parked in the 4000 block of Lake Cook Road Monday, Dec. 26, according to police.

Someone broke the front passenger side window and stole a $499 Magellan GPS from a car parked in the 800 block of Skokie Boulevard Thursday, Dec. 29, police reported.

VANDALISM ON OAK AVENUE

Someone threw a brick through the window of a home in the 2500 block of Oak Avenue Friday, Dec. 30, and two vehicles parked in the driveway were found with flat tires, according to police.  

STOLEN GRILL COVER

Someone stole a grill cover from an unfenced backyard in the 4000 block of Brittany Court Tuesday, Dec. 27, police reported.
