Blotter: Minors Caught With Alcohol and Marijuana, 'Wet Floor' Sign Swiped From McDonald's

MINORS CAUGHT WITH ALCOHOL AND CANNABIS
Police stopped three young men, all under the age of 21, for a traffic violation in the 2300 block of Shermer Road Sunday, Nov. 20, and found that they had marijuana and alcohol. A 20-year-old man from Glenview was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, while an 18- and a 17-year-old boy from Northbrook were each charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police.
CONTRIBUTING TO THE DELINQUENCY OF A MINOR
Artur M. Szenaor, 20, of Northbrook was arrested Monday, Nov. 21, after he allegedly purchased some drugs for a minor, according to police. He was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE
Jason I. Rosen, 30, of Buffalo Grove, was stopped for a traffic violation at Dundee and Pfingsten roads Wednesday, Nov. 23, arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, according to police.
Marco Paz-Martinez, 21, of Mundelein, was arrested Saturday, Nov. 26, after he got into an accident at Dundee and Landwehr roads, according to police. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and following too closely.
RETAIL THEFT AND ATTEMPTED RETAIL THEFT
James P. Bombacigno, 28, of Lake Forest, surrendered himself to police in connection with the attempted theft of an iPad at Best Buy on Willow Road Monday, Nov. 7, according to police. He was charged with attempted retail theft.
Kathleen S. Power, 53, of Grayslake, was arrested Wednesday, Nov. 23, at Sunset Foods after she allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for some merchandise, according to police. She was charged with retail theft.
STOLEN WALLET, AIR BLOWER, ‘WET FLOOR’ SIGN AND PURSE
Someone stole an air blower worth approximately $650 from the front yard of a home in the 2000 block of Second Street on Monday, Nov. 21, police reported.
Someone stole a wallet containing credit cards, checks and money Friday, Nov. 25, in the 800 block of Willow Road, according to police.
A vehicle with approximately four people stole a “wet floor” sign from the driveway of the McDonald’s on Skokie Boulevard Saturday, Nov. 26, according to police. The car headed left on Skokie, then westbound on Lake Cook Road. Deerfield police located the vehicle in the drive-through of a McDonald’s on Waukegan Road in Deerfield, where the individuals in the car admitted to stealing the sign and throwing it out on Skokie Boulevard. The sign was returned to the McDonald’s on Skokie.
A girl and her friends were taking photos at Northbrook Court Saturday, Nov. 26, when she noticed her pink and black Le Sport Sac purse had gone missing, according to police. While she was filing a report with mall security, someone turned the bag into the office, stating she had found it in the women’s restroom near the food court. The girl’s iPad was missing from the bag.
