Audiences will be treated to high kicks, guitar solos and plenty of soulful vocals during Glenbrook North’s annual Variety Show.

Titled “Crossroads,” the show opens this Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. at Glenbrook North’s Sheely Center for the Performing Arts. Two more performances follow, at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 8 p.m. Saturday.

This year’s highlights include a performance by senior Mitchell Green, a classical guitarist who has played at Ravinia Festival and the Aspen Music Festival and who has studied under two-time Grammy winner Sharon Isbin. Also on stage are “The Men of GBN,” an all male vocal group composed of Glenbrook North parents and teachers, plus the schools Poms and Orchesis dance troupes.

More than 300 students participated in the variety show this year, according to choir director Andrew Wallace.

“We’re just lucky to have lots of talented kids,” he said.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the door for $13. Click on the video above or scroll through the image gallery for a sneak preview from Patch.
