Look Up Boy Scout Leaders Expelled in Illinois
Information gathered by the Los Angeles Times shows the leaders of the Boy Scouts of America who were expelled between 1947 and 2005 on suspicions of sexual abuse. Patch's searchable database allows you to search by cities in Illinois.

Why are you being such an alarmist? For Lake Forest, all it shows is a number, not a name. Report news - don't waste your time on providing useless knowledge.

Hi My2Cents,
We are limited by what information was released -- some entries have full documentation attached, others are just a date and troop number. But we felt that if you were involved in that troop that year, this information would still be very important to you.

How is it even possible that you see this report as alarmist or "useless knowledge", My2Cents? hmmm? If you're a parent of a scout during the time these abuses occurred the information is invaluable (if not horrifying.)

Thanks for all your comments! -- This is a database for people to use to look up the information that's been released. It's public information, we're simply making it easier (for those interested or concerned) to find and sort through.

Reader beware -- since Patch didn't bother putting this data into context, allow me. From Patch's HuffPo link:
"The files contain details about proven molesters, but also unsubstantiated allegations. People paging through the files would find both. Clark says there are undoubtedly some people in the files who were wrongly accused, and the Scouts point out that many cases of abuse were dealt with properly."
