For the 11th consecutive year, the Northbrook Park District has received a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its annual financial report.

The award is the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting. In addition, a Certificate of Recognition for Budget Presentation was presented to Finance Director Mindy Munn, who was responsible forpreparing the budget for the current fiscal period.

The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving an estimated 17,600 government finance professionals throughout North America. According to the association, the award represents a significant achievement and reflects the commitment of the Northbrook Park District to meeting the highest principlesof governmental budgeting.

The budget was judged as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide andcommunications device and was rated “proficient” in all four categories.
