Northbrook Pool Dyed Green for St. Patrick's Day

Since 2007, North Suburban YMCA has been dying its swimming pool green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, and a NSYMCA staff says they are probably the only indoor pool facility in the country to do so, Northbrook Star reports.
On Saturday, March 16, participants will be diving for plastic gold coins in the emerald-hue pool during the “Dive for Gold!” event, which takes place from 2 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. at 2705 Techny Rd., Northbrook Star reports.
