Patch Pets: Sierra

Each week, we feature cats and dogs available for adoption from Heartland Animal Shelter in Northbrook.

Sierra is a beautiful 1-1/2-year-old black cat. She was found when she wandered into a feral cat colony.  When the caretakers saw her they knew immediately that she was a "house cat." They contacted Feral Felines and eventually Sierra was placed at Heartland. Sierra is the entertainer of the cat room. She's also the first one to greet new residents. She loves the company of humans as well as felines. This little lady thrives on attention and will roll over when you pet her. Running and playing are on her agenda each and every day. She'll even stand up on her hind legs, take hold of your hand and use it like a toy to coax you into playing with her! Not only does Sierra have loads of love to give but she is also full of fun and enjoyment. Meet her and you'll agree that Sierra would make a family very happy.

Adoption Information- Heartland's Cat Adoption fee of $100 includes up-to-date vaccinations, spay/neuter, deworming, FIV/Feline Leukemia test, and a microchip.  Kitten adoption fees are slightly higher and reduced rates are often offered for special needs cats.
