Who is Northbrook's Person of the Year?

TIME magazine named President Obama their person of the year for the second time. Tell us who you think should win from our town!

On Dec. 19, Time magazine named President Obama their Person of the Year, again.

The magazine invited votes on 40 candidates, including the president, Gabby Douglas and Kim Jong Un. Other options included The Mars Rover and the Higgs Boson Particle, Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi and Apple CEO Tim Cook. But, the president took the title again four years after he first won the award as president-elect in 2008.

But who cares about the same-old, same-old? Who is Northbrook's Person of the Year—the man or woman who, as TIME would say, “most influenced the news this year for better or worse?"

Could it be Village President Sandy Frum? Or Glenbrook North Principal Paul Pryma? Or maybe Sunset Foods' man about town, Ron Bernardi!

Or maybe you know someone who impacts the lives of others and deserves to be recognized. Share your Person of the Year and a brief explanation in our comment section!

I think the "People of the Year 2012" are the Northbrook young adults who suffered incredible loss during 6 weeks this past summer, and turned those tragedies into positive experiences by fundraising for several charities...including Compassion It, Light up the Darkness and educational funds named for the boys who died. They also created awareness for depression and suicide in teenagers. I was personally amazed at the resiliency of out Northbrook teens and believe they made the biggest impact in out village this year!
