District 30's Kindergarten Registration Takes Place on February 6 and 13

School District 30 will hold Kindergarten Registration for the 2012 - 2013 school year on the following dates:  From 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 6; 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, at Willowbrook School, 2500 Happy Hollow Road, Glenview. During registration parents will have the opportunity to indicate their preference for morning or afternoon kindergarten on a session request form. If necessary, a lottery will be held to determine morning and afternoon placements. One registration will be permitted except in the case of multiple births. Morning session runs from 8:50 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and afternoon session runs from 12:15 p.m. to 2:55 p.m.

In order to enroll for the Fall 2013 session, a child must be five years old on or before September 1, 2013. An official birth certificate must be presented at the time of registration. Hospital or Baptismal certificates cannot be accepted. Copies of official birth certificates can be obtained at the County Clerk's office in the county where your child was born. In Cook County, the certificate can be obtained from the County Clerk's Office, 118 North Clark Street, Chicago, Illinois 60602; or the Skokie Courthouse at 5600 Old Orchard Road in Skokie, Room 149, Ph. 847-470-7233.  Proof of residency such as a paid utility bill or a signed contract showing home ownership is also required as well as the filling out of an affidavit form.

District 30's Kindergarten Committee has a timeline of events to welcome incoming kindergarten students and their parents to the Kindergarten Center at Willowbrook School. Some of the special activities include the Kindergarten Kickoff; school supply pick up day; Kindergarten Orientation; and Kindergarten Night - Curriculum Night.   More information on these events will be provided at the time of registration.
