Glenbrook North High School

Glenbrook North High School

2300 Shermer Rd, Northbrook, IL
847-272-6400

Known for both its academic strength and its sports achievements (as well as famous alumnus, filmmaker John Hughes), Glenbrook North is the only public high school in Northbrook and serves more than 2,000 students on its 72-acre campus. Students can choose from among 24 Advanced Placement courses and may apply to The Glenbrook International Academy, a special program comprised of just 30 students from the entire district and designed to prepare enrollees for highly selective colleges and universities. In addition to 28 varsity sports and 65 lower-level athletic programs, Glenbrook North students can also participate in a range of activities from speech and debate to synchronized swimming. The school recently opened a fitness center available for student use during and after school hours.
