Did The Plan Commission Make The Right Decision With Walmart?

Share your thoughts on the Plan Commission's recent request for changes to the Walmart proposal.

Northbrook's Plan Commission unanimously turned down Walmart's 1000 Skokie Blvd. proposal during the last week's public input meeting on the development.

Walmart representatives now have the option to draft a new proposal for the east Northbrook development, or proceed to the Village Board with the current proposal, at the risk of doing so without the Plan Commission's recommendation.

While the commission's action didn't entirely thwart Walmart's bid for the property, it may have made it harder for the superstore to open shop in Northbrook.

Do you think the Plan Commission did the right thing by asking for changes to the Walmart proposal? Would you have preferred they vote in favor of the proposal?
