Community Update

My husband I purchased a home several months ago. We insured w/Allstate. (We are in our 70s). The agent, Christa someone or other in Pleasant View UT was very interested in getting our business. Once she obtained that we were treated like nuisances. We received a cancellation notice on our homeowners due to lack of payment. We had authorized automatic deductions which they seemed to get our vehicles right. That was straightened out and now we just received a cancellation notice, within 10 days. Our shingles apparently in one area need to be replaced. We were told by a roofer the shingles had another 4-5 years left. So I called and talked to Christa, who was less than pleasant. We have the opportunity to keep Allstate if we find a roofer and put $$ down to get the roof fixed in the spring. Hello everyone it's January in UT - roof covered w/snow or partly covered anyway. So they take our money and we are gone in 10 days. IF they would have given us a few months to correct the problem, if need be but to give us 10 days over Christmas. I really think they discriminate against elderly people. I've heard two other very similar stories from people our age. Anyway, so much for the good hands.....they only hold out their hands for your $$$$$ and don't care about their customers. The agent had a horrible attitude - like too damn bad.
