I need to post an incident that happened to my 85 year old mother, who has been a loyal customer for many, many years. I took her up to my house to help her with various tasks that she could not handle due to total hearing loss. We had a adjustment to moving in and she overlooked one of her monthly payments. A few days later, she got a cancellation notice of her auto insurance. I called right away and the agent said that if I did an online payment that it WOULD be re-instated and that she would get her next invoice in May. May came, June came - no invoice so on July 1st, I called Fort Myers office to see what was was going on. They said "your insurance was cancelled". I was shocked! I have been driving my mother's car around as a second driver with my 4 little grandchildren around not KNOWING I wasn't insured. God forbid nothing happened but what if it DID?
