Morrison Campaign Pounds the Pavement with Huge Field Weekend DEERFIELD, IL – Dozens of volunteers turned out this weekend to help Julie Morrison (D-Deerfield) knock on over 1,500 doors in a single weekend.  This marks the first time that the Morrison campaign has topped over 1,000 doors in a weekend.

“Knocking on doors and engaging voters is what is going to help us win this election,” Morrison said.  “Our campaign is comprised  of staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to engage voters.  I want to personally thank the volunteers who came out this weekend and I want to also thank Brad Schneider for teaming up with us and showing how strong the Democratic Party is in the 29th District.”

On Saturday, the Morrison campaign knocked on 391 doors.  On Sunday, Morrison teamed up with Democratic Candidate for Congress, Brad Schneider, to knock on 1,113 doors.  In total for the whole weekend, the campaign knocked on 1,504 doors.

Julie Morrison is seeking to replace retiring state Senator Susan Garrett.  The 29th District will cover parts of Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Deerfield, Highland Park, Lake Forest, and Lake Bluff.  Field continues to be the backbone of the Morrison campaign.  In July Morrison’s campaign knocked on 9,729 doors and made over 3,500 phone calls.

“We are really proud of the hard work that our staff, volunteers, and interns continue to put in.  This weekend shows how energized and dedicated our supporters are,” said Morrison staffer, Brian Phelps.  “We are going to win this election by knocking on doors, making phone calls, and engaging voters in the district.  Julie is out there almost every day listening to voters and letting them know where she stands on the issues.   The community is clearly responding positively to her.”
