9Round, 1070 Waukegan Rd., for a workout like no other.  In 30 minutes boys, girls, men and women…even kids, make the ‘rounds’, there’s even a buzzer that goes off after 3 minutes at each station, along with certified instructors to guide them each step of the way.

Linda Mayer. a co-owner along with Abby Kurz, both Northbrook residents and parents of college age children, know that after the first few days of winter break,  there’s a hunt for something new and exciting to do.   Mayer suggested a ‘punch-bowl’ to capitalize on the college bowl season.  Each student who visits 9Round will also declare their college affiliation.  By January 11 when the challenge ends, the winning team –those who have the most time spent at the gym, will receive 9Round t-shirts.  Hopefully, thinks Mayer, they’ll go back to school in better shape and ready to tackle the books again.

Punch Bowl runs from Monday, December 16th -January 11th. Participants do not need to be a member to sign-in and register their college or alma-mater.  For more information call 224-235-4840 or check out 9RoundNorthbrook at Facebook and Twitter.

“ The first session is always free,” Kurz said, and added, “and a one month Punch Bowl membership also makes a nice holiday gift.”
