Northfield Township Road District Provides Seasonal Recycling Opportunities

In an effort to promote responsible re-use, recycling, and disposal of household products, the Northfield Township Road District offers a multitude of drop-off opportunities that will take place through the fall. Events include regular weekday acceptance of recyclables at the Road District Garage, paper shredding and recycling events at community sites, specialized household hazardous waste disposal events, and procedures for the safe disposal of prescription drugs and medical sharps. The wide range of programs is designed to make recycling convenient for all residents of the towns served by the Road District, which covers Northfield, Glenview, and Northbrook.

“Our Road District is committed to comprehensive environmental protection, including the use of only the most socially and environmentally responsible recycling practices,” noted Road District Commissioner Peter Amarantos. “We believe that our Township residents want to show the same responsibility. Our District recycling programs make it easy for residents to participate in environmental stewardship, and comply with disposal restriction laws, at no cost to them.”

Recycling and disposal events offered by the Northfield Road District include:
