Spring Fever Benefit Raises Funds for Metropolitan Family Services Evanston/Skokie Valley Center

Live music, dancing and shrieks of delight from raffle winners helped make this year’s Spring Fever a night to remember. More than 70 guests filled Parkes Hall at Northwestern University March 22 and raised more than $15,000, benefiting Metropolitan Family Services Evanston/Skokie Valley programs for children at risk of family and community violence, older adults experiencing abuse and youth with mental illness.

Guests enjoyed live music from Stuart Rosenberg and friends, along with a “Chicago-style Raffle” featuring favorite local restaurants, home and garden retailers, hair and nail salons, spas, and theaters.

The Village Treasure House in Northbrook was honored at this year’s event for their outstanding contributions benefiting children and youth in North Shore communities. Village Treasure House has donated more than $65,000 to Metropolitan Evanston/Skokie, and $1,000,000 overall to area charity organizations.
