Winkelman Kindergartners Singing in Spring

Spring was in full swing last week at Winkelman Elementary School where the kindergarten “Spring Sing” took place.

This past Thursday, the kindergarten classes performed their spring musical for family and friends. The three morning classes took the stage at 10:00 a.m., and the two afternoon classes began at 1:30 p.m.

The kindergartners learned nine songs throughout the course of the year, and they were finally able to showcase these new talents for their guests last week. Of the nine songs performed, some included: “Five Frogs,” “ABC Rock,” “Days of the Week,” “Sing a Rainbow,” “Goin’ to the Zoo,” and the finale, “What A Wonderful World.” Another song, “Who Let the Letters Out,” doubled as a learning exercise that helped the kindergartners remember their “Jolly Phonics.”

The day concluded with refreshments that were provided by volunteer parents of first grade students.

The kindergartners’ performance was a great celebration highlighting their accomplishments, and it was a perfect way to end the year.
