Ronald Christensen, 77, man died of a heart disease after he fell while breaking up a fight between his son and a neighbor on Thornwood Lane. His son was charged with aggravated battery.

On Aug. 19, a resident on the 2300 block of Pfingsten arrived home to find her second floor had been ransacked, according to police. While the main floor remained undisturbed, jewelry, a coin jar and a pillowcase were missing from four bedrooms and a closet. Police say entry was gained through a second floor window on the building's south side.

On Aug. 20, a resident on the 2800 block of Farmington arrived home to find the house had been ransacked, according to police. The offender gained entry by prying open a utility room window. It appeared the offender exited through the front door of the house after the incident. Police have not disclosed if anything was missing from the property.
