Daddy Daughter Dance Returns To Northbrook

The annual event will be held at the Northbrook Hilton on Feb. 7.

On Friday, Feb. 7, the Northbrook Park District will present its annual
Daddy-Daughter Dance at the Northbrook Hilton from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. with an underwater theme. The enchanted evening gives girls and their fathers a chance to dress up, dance and enjoy each other’s company.

“The Park District has continued this tradition for almost 30 years,” Leisure Services Supervisor Amy Kopecky said in a press release. “Dads can bring more than one daughter, and we have dads and daughters who come back each year to share the magical experience.”

In addition to a DJ and dancing, the popular event offers appetizers and desserts, a corsage for the girls, boutonnieres for the dads and a commemorative T-shirt. A discounted dinner package is available at Allgauer’s before the dance.

In keeping with the theme, girls will be able to design seashell necklaces and create a message in a bottle. The Park District also will provide green screen photography that allows the dads and daughters to choose their backgrounds for instant pictures.

Tickets are available at the Leisure Center, Northbrook Sports Center and online with a discount for early registration by January 25. For more information, visit nbparks.org or call (847) 291-2995.
