From feeding the family to washing the dog, reading a good book or watching a movie, Patch has some frugalista ideas to help you plan.

Dreaming of someplace warm and wishing you could get out of town? Well if that’s not possible, pick up some travel videos at the Northbrook Public Library, free the entire month of February. The library also shows adult first run films on the second Saturday of every month, new children’s movies on the last Saturday of every month, and classic films on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. and 7:30. Free, but get there early, as seating is limited to 188. The Social Network will be shown Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
