Grab & Go Planner: Family Movie Night, Martial Arts Training

Local schools pull out all the stops this week with a showing of 'Despicable Me' and a faculty recital.

Where/When: Field School auditorium; Friday, March 4 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Why Go: Sit back and relax on a blanket for a showing of Despicable Me on the big screen. Stock up on candy and bottled water during intermission, since proceeds benefit programs, activities, and technology in District 31 schools.

Why Go: Listen to your teachers—play music, that is. District 28 teachers take the stage during the annual faculty recital.

Detective Club (Grades 3-4)
Where/When: Northbrook Public Library; Thursday, March 3 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Why Go: Does code cracking, secret messaging and solving crime sound like fun? Kids get the chance to be a sleuth for the day and solve a library mystery. Drop in to the library or call 847-272-4300 to register.
