It's All About Trees at Northbrook Garden Club

Does your property need more shade, more privacy or just a sprucing up? Northbrook's arborist, Terry Cichocki, will teach be teaching the Northbrook Garden Club everything there is to know about trees Tuesday, Oct. 1, in the Pollack Room at the Northbrook Public Library, at 7:00 p.m.

In the past year, the Village of Northbrook has cut down more than 400 trees infested with emerald ash borer. Cichocki will discuss how the village monitors trees, how they select replacement trees and how they plant them.

Based on her extensive experience, she will also guide the club through the process of selecting, siting and planting trees to enhance landscape aesthetics and add property value.

The program is open to the public. For information, contact membership chair Donna Marchand at (224) 365-5828.
