The stormy and windy weather has forced area officials to move mosquito control efforts.

The North Shore Mosquito Abatement District will conduct its targeted adult mosquito control operations in parts of Glencoe, Winnetka, Kenilworth, Northbrook, Northfield and Wilmette from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1. Operations originally were scheduled for Monday, June 30.

Tuesday's attempts to control the area's adult mosquito population also will be subject to weather conditions.

Earlier in June, mosquitoes in Glencoe, Northbrook and other North Shore communities were found carrying the West Nile virus
