Northbrook Daddy Daughter Dance Returns In February

The dance is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 8 at the Northbrook Hilton from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.

The event will begin with a grand entrance – and end with great memories. On Friday, Feb. 8, the Northbrook Park District will hold the annual Daddy-Daughter Dance at the Northbrook Hiltonfrom 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. The enchanted evening gives girls and their fathers a chance to dress up, dance and enjoy each other’s company.

“This year’s theme is ‘The Windy City,’ and we have some exciting new features to celebrate Chicago,” said Leisure Services Supervisor Ashley Summers. “There will be a Garrett’s popcorn bar, and girls can scoop an assortment of flavors to eat or take home. We’ll have green screen photography with a cityscape background and instant pictures. And, in a nod to the Art Institute, we will set up easels and art paper, so the girls and their dads can create watercolor paintings."

In addition to a DJ and dancing, the popular evening event offers an assortment of appetizers and desserts, a corsage for the girls, boutonnieres for the dads and a commemorative T-shirt. A discounted dinner package is available at Allgauer’s before the dance.

“The Park District has continued this tradition for almost 30 years,” Summers added. “Dads can bring more than one daughter, and we have dads and daughters who come back each year to share the magical experience.”

Tickets are available at the Leisure Center, Northbrook Sports Center and online at nbparks.org with a discount for early registration by January 25. For more information, call (847) 291-2995.
