Northbrook Split On Caribou
Caribou's decision to wash off a Gay/Straight Alliance has not inspired a landslide boycott yet.
A week after Northbrook's Caribou washed off a window decoration made by Glenbrook North's Gay/Straight Alliance, Patch asked readers to tell us whether they would still visit the downtown cafe.
Of the 265 people who responded by Sunday night, 132 people said they would no longer shop at Caribou. However, 133 people said they would.
Along with poll results, Patch user Ralph J wrote, "it appears that the decision was made locally and that corporate has stepped up to make it right. Their position seems genuine."
