Patch Pets: Cubby Bear

Each week, we feature cats and dogs available for adoption from Heartland Animal Shelter in Northbrook.

CUBBY BEAR is a 1-1/2-year old cute and playful Tuxedo girl.  She is very playful and she loves to be held and will purr up a storm!  Cubby Bear originally came to Heartland with her brothers and sisters when they were found as strays in Des Plaines.  She was later adopted and thought she had a forever home.  Unfortunately, her owner passed away and somehow in the shuffle, she became lost and was found by another animal shelter.  Because Cubby Bear was microchipped, she was eventually returned to and is now looking for a new home.

Adoption Information- Heartland's Cat Adoption fee of $100 includes up-to-date vaccinations, spay/neuter, deworming, FIV/Feline Leukemia test, and a microchip.  Kitten adoption fees are slightly higher and reduced rates are often offered for special needs cats.

, at 2975 Milwaukee Avenue in Northbrook, is open from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 12-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.  More animals available for adoption can be found at www.heartlandanimalshelter.net.
