Patch Picks for The Passover Table

Family meals do not have to be stressful! Make a simple and delicious meal with some of these trusted favorites.

Center Stage

Certainly the star of many Passover tables, this brisket is as delicious as it is simple to make. I wish I could remember which food magazine instructed me to load my slow cooker in this order: 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced; 2 garlic cloves, smashed; 4 lb. brisket, trimmed; salt and pepper to taste; 2 C. low sodium chicken broth. Cover, and cook on high for 6 hours.

Mine came out so tender, it broke in two while I was trying to pull it out of the pot.

Find your brisket at one of our local butcher shops: Northbrook’s or Glenview’s .

If you want to garnish your delicious brisket, look to the same source as our groceries. From Jewel, Barry's Matzah Salad uses red pepper, cucumber and chives to add Spring colors and flavors to your table.
