The Y’s Strong Kids Fund provides financial assistance for YMCA programs to individuals in need. Currently, one out of five participants at the North Suburban Y receives support from the Strong Kids Fund. The Fashion Show is a prelude to the Y’s 7th Annual Ken & Alta Thiel Strong Kids Dinner, to be held on Wednesday, May 1 at the Hilton Chicago-Northbrook.

The Junior Executive Board was formed in August 2012 as a catalyst for positive youth involvement at the Y and community at large. With 18 members representing three different schools, the board plans events that unite students from a diverse range of communities and interests.
