Student Films Showcased at Northbrook Youth Film Festival June 9

The 5th annual event features films from area high school students, as well as college students and local alum.

The following is from the Village of Northbrook:

All are invited to the 5th Annual Northbrook Youth Film Festival featuring student films that include comedies, documentaries, suspense films and thrillers. The event, hosted by former GBN student and filmmaker Matt Irvine, will be held on Monday, June 9 at 7pm at the Glenbrook North High School Little Theater.

Students from Glenbrook North, Glenbrook South, Deerfield High School, Main East, Northshore Country Day, and GBN alumni, as well as current college students from Chapman University and New York University will be participating.

Come and celebrate the voices of local student film-makers honoring their perspectives and creative talents as revealed through the art of film. UNIQUE THIS YEAR:  A Skyped interview with Nathan Flanagan-Frankl (Glenbrook North alumna and current Chapman University student) after his recent appearance at the 2014 Oscars where his film received an award honoring future film-makers. The event is presented by the Northbrook Youth Commission.
