Tall, Dark & Handsome: The Evolution of the Black Leading Man

Celebrate Black History Month! Back by popular demand, Columbia College Professor Vaun Monroe returns to expand on last year’s remarkable program. Whether you’re a film buff or just want to learn something new, come join us for a lively, interactive session. Professor Monroe will show selected film clips and lead the discussion on how films have had a dramatic impact on race relations in America.  The Northbrook Community Relations Commission sponsors this special free program at the Northbrook Public Library, 1201 Cedar Lane on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 1 to 4pm in the Library Auditorium. Refreshments will be served.  Bring a friend!
