Local attorney, civic leader, and concert pianist Mark
Damisch presents a concert of American Music on Wednesday evening, July 6, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Grace Lutheran Church, Northbrook.

Damisch’s virtuoso interpretations of Copland, Barber, and
Gershwin favorites will pound out more musical fireworks on this evening closely following the 4thof July. Selections include Rodeo, Rhapsody in Blue, and An American in Paris.

Concert tours have taken him around the globe. This summer, from
late July through August, he will play in British Columbia, Alaska, China, Mongolia, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.

The concert at Grace Lutheran and other venues provide previews locally what the world is about to hear.

As Mr. Damisch’s first tour program stated in 1975, "Our prayer is that people everywhere will learn from each other’s differences, heal each other’s wounds, promote each other’s progress and benefit from each other’s mistakes."

Grace Lutheran Church is located at 2245 Walters Avenue in
