Kitchen Day at the Northbrook Farmer's Market

Spend a Day in the Kitchen at Northbrook Farmers Market

The Northbrook Farmers Market is celebrating the season's bounty with a fun Day in the Kitchen Wednesday, Sept. 7. The market is held 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Our Lady of the Brook, 3700 Dundee Road.

An outdoor kitchen will be set up, complete with chefs, cooking demos, tastings, kitchen gadgets and more. Seating under a tent will be set up in studio fashion for shoppers to relax and enjoy the interactive shows.

They also will give lessons in proper knife techniques, how to care for your knives, and essential knives to have in your arsenal.

Pampered Chef representative Kathy Stephans will demonstrate the latest kitchen gadgets, including a corn shaver and other slicers.
