Maple Students to Perform "Grease"

Over 75 students will revive the music and mood of the life of 1950's teenager when they perform in the school version of "Grease" at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 15 and Friday, March 16. The musical is set in 1959 at fictional Rydell High School, and follows ten working-class teenagers as they navigate the complexities of love, cars, and drive-ins. Highlighted will be songs from the late 1950's: "Greased Lightnin',"Summer Nights," "Those Magic Changes," "Freddy My Love", Look at Me I'm Sandra Dee," "Born to Hand-Jive," "Beauty School Dropout," and "We Go Together." Costuming will reflect the times as well, when saddle shoes, bobby socks, black leather jackets and poodle skirts were the rage!

Kevin Kurasch is the show's Producer/Director.  Nancy Lifshitz is the assistant director and  technical director. Christian Larson is the publicity and ticketing representative; Decima Panitch is the Musical Director; Lisa Kovarik is the choreographer; and Ann Rutledge is the Set Designer/Stage Crew Director and Costumer.
