“The Renaissance—Nature, Women Artists, and Conflicts” Lecture Series

The Northbrook and Winnetka Community Associates of the Art Institute sponsor a lecture series at the in January titled “The Renaissance—Nature, Women Artists, and Conflicts."

On Jan. 10, Jeff Nigro explores how 14th- and 15th-century artists found inspiration around them. On Jan. 17, Eve Pflanzer discusses the rise of women artists during the Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo periods. And on Jan. 24, Jeff Nigro speaks on the way Renaissance masters' medium reveals a philosophy of art.
