Ravinia Tickets Go On Sale Thursday at 5 a.m.

The heaviest traffic on the website is expected between 7 and 10 .m., with some concerts likely selling out quickly.

Lawn and reserved-seat tickets for Ravinia’s 2014 season, which features more than 140 events, including the annual summer residency of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra conducted by James Conlon, go on sale to the general public at 5 a.m. Thursday, April 24, exclusively at www.ravinia.org.

Some concerts may sell out quickly, including on the lawn. Heaviest site traffic is expected between 7 and 10 a.m. Walk-up sales do not begin until May 17, and phone sales begin on May 19.

The season features the just-announced American Idol Live! tour, Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins, Maxwell, John Hiatt and Robert Cray, and Joss Stone and Lisa Fischer, as well as the previously announced ZZ Top and Jeff Beck, Willie Nelson and Alison Krauss, Train and The Wallflowers, Carrie Underwood, Counting Crows and Toad the Wet Sprocket, John Legend, OneRepublic and The Script, James Taylor, Darius Rucker, Umphrey’s McGee, Matt Nathanson and Gavin DeGraw, Bob Weir & RatDog and Dwight Yoakam, Heart, The Beach Boys and The Temptations, Daryl Hall & John Oates, and Ramsey Lewis.

            Guests are invited to pack their own picnics. Most reserved seats for all CSO concerts in the Pavilion are only $25 each. Children and students through college are admitted free to the lawn for all classical concerts. For ticket information, call the box office at 847-266-5100.
