Summer Enrichment Services

Summer is a time for students to enjoy Summer camps, sporting events, vacationing with family and playing with their friends.  It is also important for your children to continue to read over the summer.  Research shows that students can lose up to three months of reading progress over the summer, and that loss has a cumulative effect on their skills.

There are many great ways to encourage your children to continue reading over the summer.  Most North Shore Libraries offer a Summer Reading Program with incentives to help motivate your child to read.

Many web sites offer ideas and Booklists by grade level that will give parents ideas on which books to choose.  One such web site is readingrockets.org.

My Educational Services and expertise offer sessions for students, Kindergarten through 8th Grade, to continue enriching their reading and other academic skills.
