Dailey Method Fitness Studio Opening In Northbrook

Slated to open in winter 2013 at the Willow Festival shopping center, this will be the tenth Dailey Method studio in the Chicago-area and the 49th worldwide.

The Dailey Method, an international chain of fitness centers, announced in a press release their second North Shore location will open at the Willow Festival shopping center in Northbrook in winter 2013.

The new studio will occupy about 2,800 square feet, across from the Whole Foods, according to the release.

The Northbrook location will feature Dailey Method’s proprietary one-hour fitness class — combining athletic ballet barre work, core conditioning, stretching and orthopedic exercises in an encouraging class environment — along with group cycling courses, according to the release.

The fitness brand is known for its commitment to improving body alignment, long-term injury rehab and future injury prevention, in excerice programs that offer high calory burning with low, physical impact.

The Dailey Method Northbrook owners Leanne Kurtzweil and Katy Kerr are seasoned fitness instructors who began working in Chicago’s first Dailey Method studio when it opened in 2009, according to the release.

“Since being a part of this fitness community, clients consistently tell us the positive impact both our challenging classes and encouraging studio environment has had on their lives," Kurtzweil said in the release. "The changes can be seen in improved physical appearance, better posture, and increased self-confidence."

The Dailey Method’s first North Shore location opened in Kenilworth in 2011, and was later voted as The North Shore’s “Best Challenge Workout” by Make It Better magazine, according to the release.

According to the release, the Northbrook location will also feature upscale fitness and lifestyle retail, a staffed kid’s room and a full-service locker room.
