Edwards Florist Owners Celebrate 1 Year Anniversary

The shop in downtown Northbrook at 1353 Shermer Rd. was first opened in 1957.

Edwards Florist of Northbrook is celebrating its first anniversary under the new ownership of business partners Jim Fauerbach and Bill Dvorak.

Founded in 1957, Edwards Florist was bought last year by Fauerbach and Dvorak.

“Here we are, one year and thousands of work hours later. We’ve invested in new employees, improvements to the workspace, new computers and an ideal delivery vehicle," Fauerbach said in a press release. “We’ve implemented processes to improve operations, customer service and created a more efficient and inviting work environment for our talented and dedicated staff… and business is growing.”

Edwards Florist is located at 1353 Shermer Rd. in downtown Northbrook.

“I’m excited about being part of an effort to breath new energy into suburban small business,” Dvorak said in the release. “Local enterprise in Northbrook and other suburbs is an important economic engine and foundational to our communities. For example, at Edwards Florist of Northbrook, nearly all our staff reside right here in the Northbrook community. That's good for them and good for us!”
