New Caputo Store Delights Northbrook Grocery Shoppers
The family-owned business doubled in size with the purchase of three, former, Dominick's stores.
News of the Caputo & Sons grocery store opening at the former Northbrook Dominick's at 4125 Dundee Rd. may have been a surprise for some, but readers seem excited for the Italian market to open in spring.
On the Northbrook Patch Facebook, Karen Anisi Sperber wrote, "I love Sunset but Caputo's have a great italian deli which does not exist in the North Shore."
Likewise, Janet Wilson wrote, "Many years ago I was a regular at their Des Plaines store and LOVED it. They had all the authentic Italian stuff I wanted, an awesome meat/deli/pastry counter and great produce. Missed it dearly when I moved, so I'm really hoping the new store is as good or better than I remember."
Crystal Ann Scott wrote, "Besides it being nice to have a new store, we have had a lot of students get jobs at Caputo's it's nice that they hire teenagers."
