Patch Picks: Super Bowl Sustenance

It’s a disappointment that the Bears won’t be playing on Sunday. But you can still live it up anyway and enjoy some good food and drinks from Northbrook’s local bars and restaurants. Here are our top picks for places to catch the game.

The Scene: The oldest bar in town offers five for $12 bucket specials on Miller products, plus free appetizers and chili at halftime.

Buffalo Wild Wings

The Scene: With 64 TVs and finger-licking wings, you can count on a great game watching experience and some delicious snacks, too. Regular specials will be available, including $3.75 tall Bud Lights and $5.75 tall Blue Moons.

The Super Bowl doesn’t have to be all about sitting still. If you feel like it, you can bowl or play bocce while you watch the game at Pinstripes. The restaurant and entertainment venue has two TVs at the bar and seven in its bowling alley, plus a $3 draft special on Bell’s Two Hearted Ale.

Looking for a party?  Look no further.  This large restaurant and bar is likely to be packed with hungry fans throughout the game. The Yard House's huge menu includes dishes like the Lobster, Crab & Artichoke Dip and delicious Firecracker Wings. Combine an overwhelming large food selection with a seemingly and you have the perfect Super Bowl recipe.

Don’t feel like cooking? Order in. The Super Bowl To-Go Menu includes bacon-dusted popcorn, Niman Ranch sustainably raised baby back ribs and two-foot homemade Italian sausage sandwiches with sweet and spicy peppers, onions, mozzarella and marinara. Whoa. Order by Thursday; pick up from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
