Family Sues Northbrook Nursing Home for Photos and Comments Posted On Craigslist

The current ownership at the Lake Cook Health Care Center in Northbrook say they bear no responsibility for the photos, which the lawsuit says were taken last year.

A year after Radovan Vojcic passed away at the Lake Cook Health Care Center, his son found photos of the dying man at the nursing home on Craigslist, along with insulting remarks, CBS Chicago reports.

The attorneys at Fisher & LaMonica are representing the Vojcic family in civil a lawsuit against the nursing home, Courthouse News Service reports. The family has accused the nursing home of invasion of privacy, emotional distress and punitive damages for violating the Nursing Home Care Act during the patent's stay from April through September of 2011.

According to the Courthouse News Service, the Vojcic complaint alleges "the right to solace and respect in his dying process were violated, causing harm to him and unimaginable grief and sorrow to his family in their mourning process, causing permanent damage irreparable by any means."
