Spring Is Coming, Is Your Hair Ready?

Andreas Hogue talks about this season's popular hair colors and some new products he's excited to offer at his Willow Festival salon.

What do people looking for a new post-winter, pre-spring hair style do when it seems there are just as many sunny days as there are blizzards? According to Andreas Hogue, owner of the namesake salon in the Willow Festival shopping center, people might want to wait a bit longer before bringing back the highlights.

"People just got all their holiday hair done," Hogue said. "Now is a fun time to start experimenting."

Hogue says people have been coming in for deeper colors and darker shades, while they get excited to bring out warmer tones in the spring.

Among the products Hogue has been using lately is a new line of ammonia-free hair colors from the Matrix salon brand.

"I've been playing with the hair colors for a few months and having amazing results," he said. "People come back to the salon because their hair grows out, not because it fades."
