Valentine's Day Food Specials in Northbrook-Glenview

Heart-shaped pizzas, surf and turf, complimentary chocolate cake and more for Valentine's Day.

Maybe you go out for romantic dinner dates all the time and Valentine's Day is just like any other day for you and your significant other. But how often do you get to dig into a heart-shaped pizza with the boo? 

Northbrook's Pinstripes restaurant is offering three days of Valentine's dinner specials from Thursday, Feb. 14 to Saturday, Feb. 16. 

Dine-in with a complimentary champagne toast, heart-shaped pizzas straight from the wood burning oven prepared with your favorite toppings —  margherita, Italian beef, sunny-side up egg and asparagus — and top it off with a free slice of flourless chocolate cake infused with Frangelico liquor served with whipped cream, red grapes and strawberry sauce.

The lovely pizzas range from $12 to $13 and available for dine-in or carryout. Complimentary champagne toasts cake are for dine-in customers only only.

At the Glenview House, love birds can enjoy an equisite, three-course meal available between Friday, Feb. 8 through Thursday, Feb. 14.

The surf & turf selection starts with a lobster bisque, followed by a smoked sturgeon salad with black caviar and smoked lemon vinaigrette, and then three beef tenderloin Medallions with wild mushroom ragout and black truffles.

The meal costs $45 per person plus tax and gratuity, and reservations are recommended.

At Prairie Grass Cafe in Northbrook, Valentine's Day features an assortment of special dishes. One option is a BBQ Pair of Quails with sage stuffing, sweet potato fries and apple slaw ($26). Another is the 1¼ lb. Maine Lobster "Out of the Shell" with fettuccine, vegetables and a rich lobster sauce ($32). The third choice is a "High Plains" Bison Filet with roasted winter vegetables and potatoes ($45).
