Walmart Surveillance Tracks Customers From the Parking Lot
Walmart stores can have more than 200 surveillance cameras to monitor shoppers in and outside of the store.
A Walmart representative discussing the company's security and law enforcement protocols shed some light on the stores' customer tracking habits to prevent theft or other crimes.
While talking about Walmart's willingness to work with local law enforcement agencies, the representative also said store surveillance can track customers as soon as their car enters the parking lot.

Walmart stores also use 180 to 250 cameras to monitor shoppers and infrared cameras to clearly monitor people day or night.
