Daughter, But Not Parents, Get Bail in $7M Shoplifting Case
The Northbrook family members were arrested last week for stealing $7 million worth of baby gear and other items and selling it on eBay.
Branko and Lela Bogdanov will remain in jail without bail while their 34-year-old daughter was allowed to return to the family’s million dollar Northbrook home, according to an article in the Northbook Star.
The couple and their 34-year-old daughter were charged last week with going on a $7-million, multi-state shoplifting spree and then selling the items on eBay.
Branko, 58, and Lela, 52, Bogdanov have been denied bail, according to the Chicago Tribune. The article says prosecutors said they thought Branko Bogdanov was concealing the extent of their wealth and that his wife was faking health problems.
